About Alastar Family & Senior In-home Care

Alastar Family & Senior In-home Care was created as a result of my own personal experiences as a caregiver for my beloved mother, Kate, who passed away after complications from surgery in 2004; and my cherished grandmother, Mary, (pictured here) who passed away peacefully at home at the age of 94 in 2013.

My personal experiences ultimately led me to leave corporate America after 27 years as a Vice President with a global financial services company and form Alastar Family & Senior In-home Care, providing personalized care for the elderly and those who wish to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. My staff is hand-picked and trained by me. They are certified by New York State, have the qualifications as well as the right personality to treat clients like family members. This is not a job for them…it is a personally rewarding experience. Just as it is for me. I look forward to talking with you, and discussing your needs and desires to make life easier and more enjoyable for you or your loved one.

Behind the Name Alastar: Irish form of Alexander, which means “defending men” ; the Biblical meaning of the name Alexander is: One who assists men (women & children).
